Abstract
In this paper, we present multiple 3D avatars performing dance steps controlled by Dynamics. We have approached the problem by developing an integration layer between the DANCE framework and the Bullet Physics engine. This layer also implements a structure to map and visualize several types of articulated character joints between the framework and the library, making possible the development and analysis of realistic animations of multiple avatars. A case study was developed and two main analyses were conducted, involving multiple articulated characters executing four specific dance steps to determine the stability, performance and scalability of the generated animations. The results show that the integration layer successfully provides the generation of multiple realistic 3D animated avatars, ruled by Dynamics.
