Abstract :
An optical modeling of light emission from a cylindrically layered semiconductor nanostructure is presented. The internal quantum efficiency and the assignment of total emission to lateral-surface emission and waveguide emission of a ZnO nanowire and a ZnO nanotube are studied and discussed.
