Abstract :
Inverse free matrix pencil/descriptor form formulae for the two-Riccati solution of the suboptimal ℋ∞ problem for the case 0⩽σ¯(D11)<γ are presented and are used to provide a complete analysis of ℋ∞ plant/controller pole/zero cancellation phenomena. Using matrix Nevalinna-Pick interpolation theory, we further provide a method that enables us to generate a ℋ∞ controller that selectively avoids cancelling plant poles/zeros
