  • Abstract
    Inverse free matrix pencil/descriptor form formulae for the two-Riccati solution of the suboptimal ℋ problem for the case 0⩽σ¯(D11)<γ are presented and are used to provide a complete analysis of ℋ plant/controller pole/zero cancellation phenomena. Using matrix Nevalinna-Pick interpolation theory, we further provide a method that enables us to generate a ℋ controller that selectively avoids cancelling plant poles/zeros
