Abstract :
We propose a new optimization algorithm for a withdrawal weighted SAW transversal filter. The algorithm is based on the delta function model, and consists of three routines, which eventually determines eight design parameters of the filter. Efficiency of the technique is illustrated with the design of a filter consisting of a uniform input IDT and a withdrawal weighted output IDT. The algorithm is distinct from conventional techniques in that it can optimize the structural geometry of a withdrawal weighted SAW filter in a systematic manner by considering all the performance specifications simultaneously.
