  • Abstract
    High intensity electric field detection can be realized by LiNbO3 crystals, in a simple configuration consisting of an electro-optic sensor and a low-coherence optical source. The electrooptic sensor introduces an optical delay which can be modulated (coherence modulation) by the wide-band electric field. A 0-5 MHz electric field sensing scheme using coherence modulation is reported in this work.
