The goal of this paper is to analyze the characteristics and evolution mechanism of producer services, the challenges and strategic selection for the development of China´s producer services. Firstly, we analyzed the definition and characteristics such as factor intensity, geographic aggregation, and value adding and industry convergence of the producer services. Then, we studied the evolution mechanism of producer services from the view of social division of labor, business process outsourcing and space aggregation etc. Thirdly, we make an analysis on the challenges for the development of China´s producer services from different aspects. Finally, we put forward the strategic routes and corresponding suggestions for the development of China´s producer services.
