Abstract :
The paper is a powerpoint presentation on the development of an advanced video coding standard. This includes a brief history of early video coding standards and the establishment of the joint video team as well as its progress and future plans. It also discusses verification tests for coding efficiency performance and AVC implementation complexity as well as IPR licensing developments via licensing pools.
