Abstract :
This paper mainly deals with the identifiability of flexible space structures (FSS) system and its application in a special case. Following results are obtained for gyroscopic FSS system of general damping: (1) the solution of FSS system can be represented by infinite modes of FSS system; (2) in the case of distributed measurement, the complete identifiability depends on the positioning of actuators; and (3) in the case of pointwise measurement, the incomplete identifiability is determined by the positioning of both actuators and pointwise sensors
