Abstract
A new raft of display technologies is now considered a commercial reality. Each display technology has a unique set of fundamental characteristics while each commercial implementation also has its set of individual characteristics. Despite the advancements in display technologies, there are still many problems that need to be analyzed. This paper is a power point presentation that focuses on the problems in TV and digital cinema display systems. It discusses many aspects of display systems such as image rendering, electro-optical conversion transfer, image luminance levels, image chromaticity, TV matrix display, matrix display gamma, black recovery, colorimetry, and display digital interconnect.
