            Abstract :
In this paper, an experimental study was conducted on domestic air-conditioner refrigeration system to increase the system energy efficiency ratio (EER). First, different types of high efficiency compressors were tested and selected. Second, inner-grooved copper tubes which had fins with hydrophilic membrane, together with the indoor and outdoor helical fans were employed to improve the heat convection efficiency. Third, the relationship between capillary´s optimum length and refrigerant charge quantity was confirmed experimentally. By these means, the system EER can reach up to 3.2, which meets the demands of National standards of China.
