Abstract :
Solid state electronic industry uses large quantity of ultra pure water (UPW) and generates huge volume of wastewater bearing a wide range of acids, hazardous and toxic organic inorganic chemicals and heavy metals. It also emits vapours of several organic compounds used as solvents etc into air. Thus the industry is facing serious environmental problems and is making all possible efforts to reduce its pollution load and manage its effluents and emissions as efficiently as possible.
