Abstract
BASOTI, short for Baltische Sommerschule in Technischer Informatik (Baltic Summer School in Technical Informatics), is a joint project of six German and five Baltic Universities for computer engineering students between the Bachelor and Master levels. The results of the seven-year experience in engineering the motivational, didactical and curricular structure design are described, the solutions of legal, administrative and organizational problems are outlined, and general guidelines for an international summer school design in engineering fields are provided.
