Abstract
The transient stability evaluation of power system with consideration of large-scale grid-connected wind farms of Doubly-fed Induction Generator (DFIG) type was elaborately discussed in this paper. In accordance with an equivalent generator/converter model, the comprehensive numerical simulations involving multiple wind farm connections were carried out to reveal the impacts of wind farm on dynamic behaviour of existing interconnected power system. Different load models including motor characteristics were studied as well during the simulations. Finally, the preliminary conclusions are summarized.
