Abstract :
This paper presents an approach to compute solutions to the nonlinear H∞ control problem. We show that if the linearization of a nonlinear system has a linear H∞ control solution, then there exist a family of nonlinear stabilizing feedbacks locally achieving L2-gain control with guaranteed performance for the nonlinear system. Such a family of nonlinear feedbacks are characterized by a set of solutions to the algebraic Riccati strict inequalities. We analyze the closed loop system´s guaranteed performance and provide a numerical technique to compute various performance indices
