Abstract
Wireless Sensor Network is a heterogeneous system combining tiny sensors with general purpose computing elements. Although many different routing protocols have been proposed for Wireless Sensor Network, most of which do not take security into account seriously. Routing attacks can have devastating effects on Wireless Sensor Network and present a major challenge when designing robust security mechanisms. Among them Sinkhole attack is the most destructive routing attack for these networks. It may cause the adversary to draw all or most of the data flow captured at the base station. This paper realizes a mechanism to launch sinkhole attack at wireless sensor networks. And then we present some mechanisms to detect and defense this type of attack. Finally, we do some experiments to verify our methods.
