Abstract :
This paper discusses the parameter design method for an active neutral-point-clamped (ANPC) multilevel inverter. The power losses of the ANPC inverter are calculated by mathematical expressions and the mathematical results are confirmed well agreed with the experimental results. Furthermore, this paper also discusses on the optimization of the switching frequency, in order to improve the efficiency and to downsizing the capacitor volume.
