Abstract :
Failure detection technology is one of the key technologies for high-availability cluster. However the large scale cluster system will lead to high detection delay, large amount of detection message, and decreasing the cluster system capability to complete the mission. For the issue, based on Bertier´s hierarchical failure detection algorithm, a double-layer failure detection algorithm based on weight is proposed. The algorithm adjusts the failure detection frequency of the node by its weight in the system, substantially reduces the detection time and detection messages and not decreases the cluster system capability to complete the mission. Its validity and reliability of the experiment are certified.
