Abstract :
Generation rescheduling (GR) is one of effective ways to improve power transfer capacity of a system under the given current operating point or condition. However, the quality of generation dispatch at the current operating point also has important impact on the effect of GR and the security of the system. In order to further improve the loading margin (LM) of the system, a novel model based on triple power flow constraints is presented in this paper. The proposed model can not only consider the MW limits of generators more effectively, but also realize the simultaneous optimization of both generation dispatch at the current operating point and generation increments, namely generation pattern (GP), at the peak load point. Primal dual interior point method (PDIPM) is used to solve the proposed model and a strategy for selecting origin value is also proposed to improve the convergence of algorithm. At last, the proposed model and its solution technique are verified in IEEE 14-bus system and a real power system respectively.
