Abstract
We analyze coupling between longitudinal slots in general cylindrical structures. This is an extension of the normal procedure, to assume that waveguide slots are radiating into an infinite ground plane. The extended theory takes advantage of a Fourier transform along the cylindrical structure. We solve for the slot fields in the spectral domain by means of the moment method. The spectral admittance is inverse Fourier transformed and the reflection and transmission coefficients of the slotted waveguides are calculated. The analysis shows very good agreement with measurements.
