Abstract :
We have developed a set of experimental methods using ultrasonic transducers arrays to characterise a multiple scattering medium. A sample made of a large number of randomly located steel rods has been used as a prototype. We were able to estimate the elastic mean free path, the absorption mean free path, the transport mean free path and the diffusion constant.
