Abstract :
Optical coherence of 9.953 GHz nonlinearly broadened phase-modulated CW laser combs using normal and anomalous dispersive media are experimentally characterized using a DPSK encoder/decoder. Normal-dispersion-broadened combs show good DPSK compatibility.
