Abstract :
This paper has presented a new method for analyzing the harmonics in systems with AC/DC converters. The method is based on the harmonically coupled admittance matrix model of the converter. Since the model is not dependent on operating point, it can decouple the system fundamental frequency power flow calculation from the harmonic frequency power flow calculation. Moreover, the proposed harmonic analysis method is in a non-iterative way by solving the system nodal equations under all harmonic frequencies with the converter harmonic matrix equations together. Power system component models for harmonic analysis in the frequency-domain are also illustrated in the paper.
