Abstract
Considers the problem of globally asymptotically stabilizing a class of nonlinear systems via continuous static output feedback. A sufficient condition is given in terms of output control Lyapunov functions, together with a simple expression of a stabilizing feedback law. A complete characterization of a class of planar nonlinear systems, for which such output control Lyapunov functions exists, is also given
