Abstract :
The Internationalization of Engineering through the use of propaedeutic cycles is a new method to increase both quality and competitiveness of the engineering fields in tertiary education. Recently the IEEE Region 9 has shown an special interest in developing a task force to support global accreditation inside its member countries. To face the many challenges that international accreditation presents we propose some analytic instruments using the Leontief Model, which is based on the rationalization and optimization of resources required, because the international competitiveness and global accreditation in engineering education, are issues that are closely related, and very expensive for institutions in less developed countries.
