Abstract
Z-source converter has a new topology. To obtain better boost/buck effect, a unique Z-source network is placed in between input power and output converter. This paper presents the operation states of the Z-source DC-DC converter in discontinuous current mode (DCM). The analysis of boost factor and critical inductor are also described. Finally, the validity of this theory is verified by simulation.
