Research of IP Multimedia System Terminal

Currently, IMS technology mostly concentrates on the IMS network side, while neglects the study on the IMS client. The IMS Client, however, is just the most direct expression, which is utilized by the end-user to enjoy the services created by IMS technology. This article first briefly introduces the IMS system, encircling its emergence, development and composition. Then describes the research of the client based on IMS network in detail, including the basic principles, the basic services, the software architecture, the media control, interface design principles, which the client should meet, as well as software modules call ,and the later is mainly composed of the user layer and application layer. The primary advantage, which the system owns, is easy to manage, implement, maintain and so on.
