Abstract
In this paper, full-wave three-dimensional nonlinear High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) electromagnetic simulator is developed. The HTS nonlinear model is based on the phenomenological Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory. The nonlinear GL equations are solved simultaneously with Maxwell´s equations. The analysis is performed in the time domain, which is necessary for modeling the nonlinear aspects of microwave superconductor devices. The fields along HTS filter are investigated. Interesting aspects of the nonlinearity in a superconducting material are observed. The scattering parameter of the HTS filter is calculated. The change in the HTS filter characteristics with the applied power is analyzed.
