Abstract :
By applying CAN (controller area network) bus , a new type of LAN (local area network) embedded NC system based on ARM9 and motion control chip MCX314As is designed. Through CAN controller MCP2515 and CAN receiver MCP2551 , the LAN NC system is established. In the paper, the function of network system and the architecture of embedded NC system are described in detail. And a hardware platform of embedded NC system based on ARM9-S3C2410 and MCX314As is discussed principally. Besides, the architecture of the embedded NC system software.is introduced. Furthermore, relative drivers about MCX314AL and MCP2515 are written under Linux operating system. This LAN embedded NC system can realize one computer control more NC machines . The realization of whole system can improve efficiency of NC machining and enhance real-time ability. And it can carry through muti-task very well and can ensure the real-time ability and reliability of the motion control.
