Abstract
In this paper the structure and work flowchart of monitoring remote pharos system is firstly overviewed. A RTU based on dual-MCU for remotely monitoring pharos has been developed. There are three types of working mode, Polling mode, alarm mode and Calling mode. Two independent systems based on dual MCU work depending on work modes. Especially when polling mode, one system whose power consumption lower than the other system obviously is always working to measure parameters of device and the other is controlled to work or sleep mode, the whole power consumption of RTU is minimum to 10mA@12V. when calling mode, both two systems are controlled to run, Its average power consumption is maximum to 80mA@12V. This kind of dual-MCU architecture shows its characteristic of low power cost and high reliability, RTU can be powered by battery sharing with pharos without accessorial battery. Several key points are presented.
