Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate chirp-free 40-GHz CSRZ optical pulse generation using a 10-GHz Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) biased at the maximum transmission and a 25-ps delay line interferometer (DLI). The unwanted 20-GHz low frequency component is suppressed by about 25-dB.
