Abstract :
License plate recognition system is an important part of intelligent transportation system, while the vehicle license plate location is the key of it. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed on the basis of gray level variation and color features to reduce the error location of the license plate. Experimental results illustrates that the algorithm is robust and can increase the location accuracy distinctly.
