Abstract :
Microwave and millimeter wave investigations carried out before 1900 are reviewed. Many of the circuit components proposed and developed at that time are still being used. The review emphasizes the research performed by the Indian Physicist J. C. Bose who was one of the pioneers in the area of microwaves and millimeter waves.
