Abstract :
The behavioral approach to exact modeling leads to the concept of the generating system. All models are parametrized by means of a feedback interconnection of the generating system with an arbitrary system. It turns out that the main tool for extending this result to the approximate modeling case is the Hankel-norm approximation, applied to the generating system. In addition this approach provides the right framework for incorporating together with modeling the control aspect
