Abstract :
Two new directed slot antennas suitable for slab-beam quasi-optical power combining arrays are presented. The antennas are utilized in the array to excite the dominant TM mode in a grounded slab waveguide. Both antennas are employed with power amplifiers to form a building block for a two dimensional lens array. The antennas offer very good front-to-back radiation ratio, with low isolation between neighboring antenna elements
