Abstract :
A new family of modulated filter banks has been derived. The design is particularly simple since it is mainly based on a closed-form expression. Nearly perfect reconstruction filter banks are obtained as well as guidelines to estimate the filter bank parameters. Furthermore a slight modification of the prototype filter coefficients is sufficient to exactly satisfy the perfect reconstruction constraints
