  • Abstract
    Nowadays in power system, there are more and more reactive power compensation equipment. As a result, the harmonic from the equipment has become a problem which can not be neglected. The paper examines the harmonic characteristic of TCR, an ordinary kind of reactive power compensation equipment, in theory, then verifieds analysis results and presents the solution to its harmonic problem based on simulation software. Finally an engineering example is presented to prove the feasibility of the improving method. Practice indicates that the model built in the software simulates the locale condition vividly, which implies the presented method of harmonic processing offers better practical value.
