Abstract :
A new effective numerically-analytical method for treating problem of diffraction by two- and three dimensional inhomogeneous dielectric bodies is presented. The method is based on an inversion of the main singular part of operator equation. It is reached by using in Galerkin method the basis functions being the eigenfunctions of the boundary value problem for the electromagnetic wave diffraction by a circular cylinder or spherical volume. The method has many advantages, such as fast inner convergence, high accuracy and universality. The dielectric structures such as infinite inhomogeneous dielectric cylinders and inhomogeneous spherical volumes are analyzed.
