Abstract :
A C band high power solid state amplifier has been developed. The output power is greater than 800 Watts in a bandwidth of 600 MHz and is as high as 1 KWatt in the center of the bandwidth. The amplifier can operate under multimode conditions from the CW to very short pulses. A fast synchronous switching of the transistors´ polarization allows to maintain a high efficiency.
