Abstract :
Because of the easy operation and low cost, using GTEM cell in EMI test is very popular these years. The past research on GTEM cell was mainly on EMC test, the main theory of the GTEM cell testing is based on the total radiated power (TRP) calculation. In this paper, the method of using GTEM cell TRP test is introduced, and a serious of experiments are done to prove the practicability of this method in the TRP testing of wireless equipments. In the experiments, good results are received by compensation using |S11| parameter of antenna in GTEM cell. According to experiments, GTEM cell is capable to be used to do TRP test and it is necessary to do adjustments of results using |S11| parameter in some cases.
