Abstract :
This paper studies the behavior of the scattered intensity from the inhomogeneous medium bounded the rough surface. The theoretical analysis is based on an extension of the diagram and smoothing methods for the semi-transparent boundary. The series of numerical calculations for the various dielectric profiles which are typical for the different weather conditions have been made in the case of backscattering. The comparison between calculated intensity and remote sensing data shows a good correlation for the moistened soil before and after rainfalls. It was shown that the spatial variation experimental data of the rainfall zone can be related due to the variation in the soil moisture profile
