Abstract
Skin effect attenuates the high order harmonics generated through wave propagation in a non-linear transmission line (NLTL). In the literature significant difference is observed between the results of simulation dnd the measured data of the NLTL, Michael et al (3). In this paper the harmonic balance method is further developed to compute the skin effect losses in the NLTL. Since skin effect losses are frequency dependent, the frequency dependent resistor is introduced to model the skin effect. The properties of the equivalent circuit are utilised to reduce the number of multiplications needed for convergence.
