Abstract
Based on the existing problems in current centralized automatic voltage control (AVC) system, an autonomous decentralized AVC system is designed with combination of the ideas of autonomous decentralized system. This paper presents a control model of centralized control under normal conditions and autonomous decentralized control under fault conditions. The regional power system is decomposed into several control zones and applies parallel computing in those zones with multithread technology. An overall scheme of coordinated AVC for regional power network and provincial power network is proposed. The operation result shows that the autonomous decentralized AVC system is effective in improving voltage quality, reducing active power loss in network, making more profit with high reliability and hard real-time property.
