Abstract :
This paper discusses power transformer diagnostics including PD (partial discharge) location and measurements, vibration events analysis and location, infrared control, gas-in-oil analysis. Diagnostic results are reviewed in this paper for a group of transformers taking a methods synergy as the basis; the following becomes revealed: - correlation of vibration events and discharges (sparking) in insulation of magnetic core, case No1; - influence of transformer load on discharge (sparking) initiation and vibration events in magnetic core (during load increase both events disappear) case No2; - correlation between vibration events in winding and gas-in-oil analysis results (with zero PD events and thermal anomalies) case No3. Obtained results appear to be vital for the equipment repair scheduling.
