Abstract :
Using the Medium Voltage(MV) distribution line as a communication medium of the distribution automation and public communication could also be a cost-effective, advantageous and effective way compared to other systems because it is an existing infrastructure. In order to investigate MV PLC´s signal leakage interference & transmission characteristics at frequency range from 20 to 500 kHz, the attenuation, impedance, noise and interference at different Voltage power line were measured, and the results of statistical analysis have been achieved by PC. Furthermore the effects of MV PLC are discussed. According to DL/T790 series standards (IEC61334), the measurement for MV PLC´s signal leakage interference is performed, and its results indicate that the spectrum leak of the MV PLC equipment doesn´t disturb the work of existed carrier communication system, especially carrier transceiver for relay protection.
