Abstract :
Adopting the input-output Time Series Cross Section data of Chinese citrus, using formula of total factor productivity, the authors have figured out the progress ratios of science and technology of citrus in the 8 major production areas in China in recent 20 years. The result indicates the following: (1) The contribution ratio of Citrus is just an index highly related to policy orientation in the current stage; (2) The ratios fluctuated with an increasing trend in the last 20 years, the average value reached 39.41%, while the contribution ratio of Intelligent Progress and that of Scale Economy Effect were respectively 10.09% and 29.32%; (3) The overall trend of the contribution ratios of science and technology in the major production areas dominated the others , but there existed significant difference; (4) The scale economy played an important role in enhancing the output of Chinese citrus in the past 20 years. According to the research, suggest the government increase the science and technology input, encourage the citrus industry transferring to the middle and western parts of China and increasing the planting areas to product on a large scale, during the development, build a proper warning mechanism and complete a distribution system of Citrus market, build an emergency mechanism of climate disaster to make its negative effect on Chinese citrus touch the bottom.
