Abstract :
In this paper we present results from test and quantitative analysis of leading hypervisors Xen, Kvm and Vmware. Our test comparison was carried out using benchmarks which can performance on the overall performance, performance isolation, and scalability of virtual machines running on these three hypervisors. To compare, we need to measure the efficiency of the virtualization technologies. We define efficiency equal to performance and scalability. These benchmarks make the results follow the SPEC and TPC standard and easily repeatable .Our goals are to understand how the different architectural decisions taken by different hypervisor developers affect the resulting hypervisors, help hypervisor developers realize areas of improvement for their hypervisors, and to help users make informed decisions about their choice of hypervisor.
