Abstract :
A few versions of linear switched reluctance motors with transverse magnetic flux are studied in order to find the optimum construction with respect to a specific force. The analysis of motor electromechanical parameters has been based on 3-D finite element method. By comparing the motors´ force-to- mass ratio, the optimal construction has been determined.
