  • Abstract
    Web prefetching is one of the hot studies in Internet use. However, most of the literature in this field focuses on the host aspects of prefetching, such as prediction algorithms, hit rate, etc. The studies presented focus on the network aspects. Based on the round-trip time (RTT) and bandwidth measurement, we provide an integrated method to control the Web prefetching, aiming to reduce its adverse network effect, as well as improving the throughput of prefetching. The simulation results give good support for the method
