    On behalf of the IEEE Photonics Society Board of Governors and Staff, I would like to welcome you to Bellevue for the IEEE Photonics Conference 2013. As you may know, this represents the 26th year in this series of conferences formerly known as the LEOS Annual Meeting. We hope you will appreciate the many high quality technical sessions and special symposia presented in this year´s program, as well as our location here in Bellevue, with easy access to Seattle.
