Abstract :
This paper presents on-site wind energy measurement data at 50 meter and the wind turbine layout diagram for three different sites in Wyoming. This paper also presents a preliminary transmission assessment for each site with existing transmission lines and the steps required for transmission line interconnection. The capacity factor, geographic location, and nearby existing transmission line at each site are suitable for developing a wind energy farm. The study shows that commercial wind electricity generation is feasible technically and economically.
